Vancouver Parks Board outlines its strategies for management of sports fields

The Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation reports that artificial turf fields should be given priority for future investment as noted in its 10-year sports field strategy.

The Indo-Canadian Voice Online reports the strategy has been developed over the past three years with input from the public and user groups. The strategy maps out field maintenance, management and development.

The conversion of select gravel fields to artificial turf fields and the creation of hub sites are among the strategies outlined.
