Public input sought for proposed artificial turf field and other projects at Kelowna park

Field to be equipped with lighting for more hours of use

June 11, 2024  By Turf & Rec

An open house will be held June 22 at Kelowna, B.C.’s Rutland Recreation Park to allow the public to give its input into enhancement plans for the facility.

Among the plans is the installation of an artificial turf playing field. The field, along with lighting, will allow for more play than would be the case with natural fields.

The public can either attend the open house in person, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., or provide input online at https://getinvolved.kelowna.ca/rutlandrecpark.

Bicycle facilities at the park are also being proposed.
