Microshocks reported at Pickering soccer field located next to hydro tower corridor
Father takes son off field after reading electromagnetic levels

A Pickering, Ont. soccer field located amid a corridor of hydro towers has come into question after a parent’s reading of electromagnetic microshock levels.
DurhamRegion.com reports the father of a boy playing soccer at Diana, Princess of Wales park, which is adjacent to the hydro corridor, pulled his son off the field after reading the electromagnetic field levels from a device he had purchased.
Microshocks produced by a discharge of energy can be felt on the surface of the skin, but are not considered to cause adverse health effects, according to Hydro One. However, relatives of the Pickering father have reported constant shocking to feet and headaches.
The Pickering Football Club has since reached out to the municipality over the issue.
