Cricket has been Canada’s fastest-growing sport in recent years, and several municipalities across the country have responded to the call for appropriate playing facilities.
Among those municipalities is Kitchener, Ont. which has opened a new full-size cricket facility at Kiwanis Park, adding to three existing cricket grounds in the city.
Neighbouring Waterloo and Cambridge each have two cricket fields of their own.
Cricket popularity in Canada has been sparked largely by the growth of South Asian and West Indian communities, according to a national study.
