A near $1-million park renewal project in Burlington, Ont. will involve the removal of an existing baseball diamond to make way for expanded green space.
Inside Halton reports the three-phase project at Cavendish Park is set to begin in September.
An official from the Burlington Amateur Softball Association said the loss of the diamond could impact play for the group.
The city has budgeted for two new natural turf baseball diamonds at City View Park.
